Duane Christie, B.S., MPT, is a highly experienced physical therapist who has dedicated his career to improving mobility, function, and quality of life for patients across a wide range of physical conditions. A graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., he holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Physiology and Health Sciences, as well as a master’s degree in physical therapy. His education laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Duane began his professional journey in 1998, gaining diverse experience in clinical and hospital-based settings throughout Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. His work included positions at Kaiser Permanente, Northern Virginia Training Center, George Washington University Hospital, and The Chesapeake Center. These roles allowed him to refine his skills in both acute and rehabilitative care while working with patients recovering from complex injuries and medical conditions.
After returning home to South Florida in 2002, Duane joined Special Care Providers, Inc., where he served as Lead Physical Therapist and Director of Rehabilitation for multiple specialized hospital ICU stepdown and rehabilitation units throughout South Florida and across the country. His leadership helped shape programs that emphasized recovery, independence, and patient empowerment.
Since joining A First Choice Healthcare in 2018, Duane has continued to share his more than two decades of experience with patients seeking advanced rehabilitative care. His approach combines scientific precision with compassion, focusing on restoring strength, movement, and confidence. Known for his professionalism, calm demeanor, and dedication, Duane remains passionate about helping each patient achieve their best possible recovery and long-term wellness.
